NRJ Music Awards nominee
The Corrs are nominated in the "Best International Group" group category in the NRJ Music Awards and the nominees in the same category are Bon Jovi,All Saints, Destiny's Child and U2.
The award ceremony will take place on Janurary 21st in Cannes.You can all vote for The Corrs on the Official Awards Website by clicking here :)
Award won for "Best Kept Secret"
The Corrs, won an award for "Best kept secret" at My VH1 Music Awards. You can see them perform at the My VH1 Music awards Pre-show: -

Amigo Awards
The Amigo Awards were won by Santana for the "Best International Group"
award in the Spanish Premios Amigo Awards 2000. The award ceremony took
place at Palacio Municipal in Madrid and the Corrs were beaten by Santana. Better luck next time!!
In Aid of Freeman Hospital
On Monday, 8th of January 2001 the Corrs will perform a charity concert at the
Newcastle Telewest Arena, in aid of Freeman Hospital's research centre for
lung disease - the same hospital where the band's mother, Jean Corr, passed away at the age of 57 years.
The band hopes to raise £100,000 for the centre and the concert.
Irresistable and Lansdowne Road Concert Release
The second release from In Blue is "Irresistable".Also the release of the official Lansdowne Road concert is on video(VHS) and will be released on October 23 and also on DVD on November 20th in Europe.
The Corrs Find New York City 'Irresistible'
The Corrs were in New York City's Times Square from August 27th to August 29th shooting the video for Irresistible. The video is really cool!! Check it out!!
Corrs call out for copyright
The Corrs performed a small private gig for the European parliament in Strasbourg. This was held to persuade the European Union to introduce tougher copyright laws, especially when it comes to digital media such as the Internet.

The award ceremony takes place on November 13th at Palacio Municipal in Madrid and The Corrs has been nominated in the category of "Best International Group". Other artists nominated are Bon Jovi and Santana.
The Corrs Support Amnesty
The Corrs gave a small concert in the "Kilmainham" prison in Dublin - to give rise to the 3rd of Amnesty International's Campaigns against torture. Torture is forbidden according to the Universal Declaration Of Human Rights of 1948, but it is still applied in 153 countries. According to the General Secretary of the Amnesty International - Pierre Cane "In more than 80 countries people are killed by torture". The campaign in similar fashion also was held in London,Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Beirut and Nairobi.
"In Blue" sales of 3.5 million
According to Atlantic Records, the latest album of the Corrs "In Blue" sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide since the release in July. The album - In Blue, has hit No. 1 in more than 18 countries, including Ireland, the U.K.,and Germany.
